A Post Entitled Second Thoughts
Initially I thought this a great way to put my written work into the world. It seemed much more simple than mimeographing a million pages, attaching them to an equal number of balloons and seeing where the winds drifts.
Alas, I don’t think I can do it.
I’ve spent close to a year writing on this book, a year ignoring friends and parties, a year (almost) ignoring my life …
It’s not the criticism that stills my hand — or mutes my mouse, to emphasize contemporary vernacular—I receive rejection every day.
I’m worried about theivery.
Petty theft.
So, I banish my book back to its manila binder.
Perhaps one day … .
